If breed were a play, what roles would the members be acting?
bryan
If Breed were a play it would definitely be a comedy. We have very little drama in the group, we try to focus on art and not waste our time on arguing. It's always great fun at member meetings or just when all of us are together in the chan. I would say each person in Breed has a very distinct personality. But I will name some members who I've found to be very interesting.
Scree would be of course the protagonist because he deals with every problem efficiently. Then there's Skrath who was dubbed the title "The Breed Asshole" for his hillarious attitude. Annie also is quite a character. There are too many members to mention all of them but if Breed were a play it would be the most amusing play I've ever seen.
How do you keep the group consistent when it comes to releasing packs monthly? We all know how hard that task is. What is the secret behind Breed's 'discipline'.
bryan
The key to our pack releases and organization is really no secret. The thing that keeps breed flowing is the group's versatility and freedom. We release a pack on the 15th of every month. If you have a piece for the pack you submit it and if you do not have a piece then that's no problem. We try to keep stressful deadlines off of the artist's backs. We maintain a relaxed attitude towards our relases, which in turn let's members take their time to create quality pieces.
This is not to say that you can just join Breed and sit idle. As a member you're expected to release a piece occasionally. Of course we do encourage everyone to put some work in each pack so that we have a nice sized final product. So I guess the secret to behind Breed's discipline would be our lack of pressure on artists.
How can aspiring artists join breed?
bryan
Getting into Breed is not an easy task. We are constantly receiving applications and reviewing artists. After adding new artists we usually stop accepting applications for awhile. If a member leaves we start reviewing the applications again and adding new talent. Our skinning division and music division are both currently open for new members. If you want to join Breed mail as a musician send a mail with some information about yourself and include links to your artwork (music graphics or skins).
To apply to the music division mail ghost@breedart.org and to apply to the skin division mail zkreso@breedart.org your info. Send amall@breedart.org your info if you would like to join as an artist. We lean towards accepting people who can be around our irc channel so it wouldn't be a bad idea to hang out there for awhile before applying.
And how are inactive members removed?
bryan
Inactive members are notified by mail that they are being removed. Then they are taken off the member list and murdered. I'm just kidding of course. We do not send them a mail otherwise they would know they are going to be murdered... Actually they are mailed, removed from the list and are free to join again when they have more time for Breed.
Just curious... who's the oldest in the group? The youngest?
Does age matter, in the first place? In terms of output and interaction?
... in terms of leadership, ideas... etc.
bryan
Heh, I guess to answer your question, I think age really doesnt matter. I have no idea how old most of Breed is. None of us seem to care. I think in general we have a young group of mostly college students and probably some highschool students.
So to answer the question (or not answer the question): I'm not sure whos the oldest or the youngest, we all get along pretty well regardless of age.
